A new year

Hadley started her 2nd year of preschool today at Miss Erika's. She was a little sad when she realized it wasn't kindergarten! She walked right in with no hesitations which made it so much easier! When I picked her up she was so excited and kept telling me about her fun day. It is going to be a little different this year without all her buddies, good thing there are 2 little guys from our ward so hopefully that will help. She told me her teacher is "adorable."

They had this little booklet all about the first day. They drew a pic of what they looked like the first day, how they wrote their names on the first day and then Miss Erika asked them what they wanted to learn this year in preschool. Hadley's answer, " to fly like a bird."
Hope she's not to disappointed this year!

She also started a dance class this week. She LOVED it! This is going to be a fun year!

I have a mobile baby!

{ August 31st 2011 }

Look who is mobile! He started army crawling after Hadley's toys on Wed. I don't know who was more excited, Hadley or Grayson! Hadley yelled, "Look how awesome! He is a crawling baby now!" She's been looking forward to this since we brought him home from the hospital. I on the other hand, held him the rest of the day hoping he'd forget! Every day he is getting better and better at it.

Grayson at 7 months

These pictures are cracking me up now that I have them uploaded on the computer. It pretty much sums him up. He moves constantly, jabbers, has his tongue out all the time, putting everything in his mouth, and then off to the next thing.

7 MonThS:

weight- 17 lbs 14 oz : 23 %
height- 27.5 inches : 57%
head- 17 inches : 24%

This is going to fast for me! 7 months means we are closer to him being 1 than him being my little newborn! He is just getting more and more fun and seeing his little personality and interacting with us is the best.

Grayson at 7 months:
- Said his first word, "mamma." I love it! Hadley's first word was dadda, so I'm loving this. He started saying it just when he cried but now he says it when he's happy as well.

-Moves his right foot in circular motions when he's happy or eating.

-Starting to teethe. His bottom gums are starting to get swollen but nothing yet.

-He doesn't like being in his car seat.

-Started doing this high pitched scream and gags himself when he is mad or not getting fed fast enough. (any tips on how to make a baby stop doing this?? Its pretty annoying and I get dirty looks from people if we are in public!)

-rolls everywhere and gets on his hands and knees and rocks. I think he will be crawling soon.

-does hand stands and head stands. He will do a headstand and then like swan dive forward!

-still takes 3 naps but I think that is almost over!

-puts EVERYTHING in is mouth. Hadley never really did this.

-gets mad when I walk out of the room.

-loves being held even though he doesn't really look at you when you hold him. He is so curious and loves looking at whats going on.

-hates sitting in grass.

-He is pretty stubborn.

-has the cutest, deepest laugh but the highest pitched giggle!

-And last but not least, he is saying "dadda" now. He just puts a 'A' before it though. "adadda"

Our July

I'm slacking big time with the blog. I feel like I'm 80, I've been sick with pneumonia and it is kicking my butt! Who the heck gets pneumonia in July??? I've been down for 2 weeks and my my kids and house and everything else has been neglected! I hate that feeling, but I'm feeling better and better and hoping I will get my energy back soon. Thank you Kristine, Derek, Cara, Megan and Jen for all your help with me, the kids and bringing us dinner. You guys saved us! And to my mom, thank you for helping us with the kids!! Brandon, I'm sorry I'm the worst sick person to be with!

Grayson:
Grayson turned 6 months on 7/16. I can't even believe he is 6 months! He is getting so big. He is rolling all over, has the loudest highest pitched scream, has the cutest laugh, loves baby food, loves his sister, loves when his daddy gets home from work, almost has the sitting up thing mastered, still won't cuddle with his mamma, loves being outside, grabs everything, still takes 3 naps, sleeps on his belly lately, and has the biggest -cheesiest smile.

Hadley:
She is such a big help with her brother, especially since I've been sick. She keeps him entertained that is for sure! She loves animals, books, TV, when she talks about the past she says "last night", she has bad dreams lately, she has turned into a good little swimmer, loves her swimming lessons most of the time, loves primary, loves knock-knock jokes and she just makes me smile. I love this little lady!

June 30th

We celebrated Kade's birthday! I love my brother and it was fun to be there on his day.

So for the 4th of July, we went to Salt Lake to see Brandon's family. Its not very often the entire family is there the same weekend so when we heard everyone else was coming into town we changed our plans so we could be there!

We had a lot of fun being with everyone! Things to remember about our weekend:
*yummy BBQ's
*beating Brandon in Jenga
*playing games
*celebrating Jill and Jack's birthdays
*family pictures
*Grayson getting bounced off the air mattress and landing on his head
*the parade, getting hit in the head with candy, and all of us getting soaked including the babies!
*playing with all the cousins
*taking Hadley to temple square
*visiting and catching up with everybody!

making smores in the backyard

hanging out at temple square.

After the parade we headed to St. George. We had a BBQ with my family, aunt and uncle and grandparents that night. Then Brandon headed back home and me and the kids stayed the week to hang out with my mom before school started back up!

We went swimming, saw Cars 2, went to Tuacahn and just played and had fun!

Grayson went to bed so my mom, dad, Kade and Sydney took Hadley to the new Carousel in town and watched fireworks.

My dad and his mini-me. My dad watched Grayson so us girls could go see the Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. It was so good until intermission and we got rained out! And then to top it off, in the parking lot we saw this man peeing in a bush and not being discreet about it!

Before the show:

And after! We were soaked! It was a fun night, thanks MOM!!!

5 Months!!!

He's 5 months now!

weight: 16lbs 4 oz (50th%)
height: 26 in. (75th%)
head: (50th%)

Oh, he is sooo fun!! I can't get enough of this little man!
He is so smiley now, laughs and makes all sorts of noises.
He's rolling from his belly to his back and almost back to belly.
He likes to play on his belly more and more.
He's grabbing things. Loves his bath.
He loves his rice cereal. Not very cuddly.
He's getting so much better with naps, still sleeps like a champ at night (most the time).
Laughs at Hadley.
So curious and looks at everything taking it all in.
Hates it when he can't see whats going on.
He's been swimming a few times now, and when its not nap time he likes it.
Does not like getting strapped in his car seat. When you start unbuckling he immediately arches his back trying to get out.

My quick get-a-way!

My good friend Holley and I have been talking about meeting in St. George for a weekend with no kids or husbands. I haven't seen Holls for over a year so it was well needed! We've known each other forever and I've missed her so much!
My parents were out of town so we used their house, it worked out nice! We stayed up talking til 2 or 3 a.m every night reminiscing about the good ol' days! We slept in, shopped, ate and swam. It was perfect! Somehow, I only got one picture of our whole weekend.

We went to dinner with Kason one night and he's known to do anything if you offer him money. So we told him if he ate the huge jalapeno pepper we'd buy him ice cream. That sucker made him cry! It was hilarious.

I love you holley bo bolley, maybe next time you can bring your family so I can meet Hudson!!
